Meet the Team

Karen Y. Pujals Morales, PHD

Clinical Psychology

Dr. Karen Pujals completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus.

She completed her Clinical Neuropsychology internship at University District Hospital (UDH), Department of Neurology (Medical Sciences Campus in Río Piedras, P.R.). She also completed postdoctoral studies in Neuropsychology at Fielding Graduate University (New York, N.Y. Cohort). She has conducted research and presentations related to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, as well as research on Depression in older adults. She is currently working as a sub-investigator in several clinical trials related to Alzheimer’s, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Pujals also performs clinical and cognitive screening evaluations.
Ha realizado investigaciones y presentaciones relacionadas a Alzheimer y Parkinson, al igual que investigaciones sobre Depresión en personas de edad avanzada. Se encuentra trabajando actualmente como subinvestigadora en varios ensayos clínicos relacionados a Alzheimer, Depresión y Bipolaridad. La Dra. Pujals además realiza evaluaciones de cernimiento clínico y cognitivo.

Zuleika Rosario-Santiago, PSY.D
Clinical Psychology

Dr. Zuleika Rosario-Santiago is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience. 

She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She later earned her Master’s degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed her doctoral internship in the Domestic Violence Program at the Community Mental Health Clinic, providing therapeutic services to women who are victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children. Dr. Rosario currently maintains a private practice serving adolescents, adults, and older adults. Her competencies are based on evidence-based therapeutic interventions integrated with spirituality, specifically within a Christian framework.

Juan P. Cruz-Perez, PhD

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Juan Pablo Cruz-Perez earned his Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, Metropolitan Campus, graduating Suma Cum Laude.

He completed his graduate studies at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus, earning both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology with honors of Distinction. Dr. Cruz is the author of several scientific research articles published in professional journals. His work focuses on adolescence, manifestations of aggression, the psychosocial dimension of epilepsy, depression, the Interpersonal Therapy Model, and LGBTQ+ community issues. He has presented his research at professional panels, including conventions of the Puerto Rico Psychological Association. Throughout his career in Clinical Psychology, he has worked in psychiatric hospitals providing clinical services to patients with diverse symptomatology. He also teaches university-level psychology courses.

Jessica López Ortíz, PhD

Clinical Psychology

Dr. Jessica M. López Ortíz completed her graduate studies at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus, earning both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology.
 
She completed her internship at the Community Mental Health Clinic in San Juan, providing psychological therapy and psychological, psychometric, and psychoeducational evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. She has conducted research related to psychometrics and the relationship between emotional health and spirituality, which has been presented at professional forums such as the conventions of the Puerto Rico Psychological Association. With over twelve years of experience, she has practiced clinical psychology in corporations, integrated health groups, and private practice, serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She is currently part of Santa Cruz Behavioral, where she provides psychotherapy services to adults and older adults.
Ha llevado a cabo investigaciones relacionadas a temas de psicometría y la relación entre la salud emocional y la espiritualidad, las cuales se han presentados en foros profesionales como lo son las convenciones de la Asociación de Psicología de Puerto Rico. 
Cuenta con más de doce años de experiencia donde ha ejercido la práctica de la psicología clínica en corporaciones, grupos de salud integral y práctica privada, atendiendo así poblaciones de niños, adolescentes, adultos y envejecientes. Actualmente forma parte del grupo Santa Cruz Behavioral, donde se desempeña como psicóloga clínica, ofreciendo el servicio de psicoterapia a la población de adultos y envejecientes.
