Karen Y. Pujals Morales, Ph.D.


Dr. Karen Pujals has a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus. She completed her internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University District Hospital (UDH), Department of Neurology/Medical Sciences Campus in Rio Piedras, P.R.

She completed her postdoctoral studies in Neuropsychology at Fielding Graduate University (Santa Barbara, C.A.) (Cluster location: New York, N.Y.). Dr. Karen Pujals has done research and presentations related to Neurocognitive and neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. Alzheimer, Parkinson), as well as in depression in the elderly, among others.

She is currently working as a sub-investigator and as a rater in several clinical trials related to neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. Alzheimer, Parkinson). Dr. Karen Pujals specializes in neuropsychological evaluations, particularly with the adult and elderly population.


Zuleika Rosario, PSY.D.


Dr. Zuleika Rosario Santiago completed her bachelor’s degree in Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology were completed at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus.

She completed her doctoral internship in the Domestic Violence Program, in the Community Mental Health Clinic, offering therapeutic services to women, victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Currently, Dr. Rosario works her private practice attending children, adolescent and adult population, under the modalities of individual, family and couples therapy.


Juan Pablo Cruz Pérez, Ph.D.


Dr. Juan Pablo Cruz Pérez completed his bachelor's degree in general psychology at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Metropolitan Campus, with Suma Cum Laude honors.

He continued his graduate studies at the Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus and obtained a master's degree and a doctoral degree with a specialty in Clinical Psychology, both with Distinction honors. Dr. Cruz is the author of several scientific research articles published in professional journals. These are related to the topics in: adolescence; aggressive manifestations; the psychosocial dimension in epilepsy; Depression; the Interpersonal Therapy Model; and issues of the LGBT community.

He has also presented his research in professional panels, such as the Puerto Rico Psychology Association Congresses. In the time he has been working as a mental health professional (Clinical Psychology), he has worked in psychiatric hospitals offering clinical services to patients with different symptomatology. Dr. Cruz is a professor at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in the area of ​​Social Sciences and is affiliated with the Puerto Rico Psychology Association (APPR), being an active member of the LGBT Community Affairs’ Committee.
